We had the best stay here, warm & friendly owners who could not be more accommodating. The Cottages in the Barn are finished to the highest of standards & full of everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfy, free WiFi, fully fitted kitchen with fridge, hob, kettle & all the utensils and cutlery, pots & pans you need. Plus a basket of the freshest delicious eggs for us on arrival. We just loved our stay it was fantastic & we could bring our dogs.

A real home from home. Comfortable bed. Lovely deep bath. Everything you need for a break. We'll definitely look to come back next year. Dogs settled in really quickly and loved saying hi to the cows each morning x

5+ stars all round. Host Anne was a great help and ensured we had everything we needed. Property was immaculate! Great location for a country getaway with some relaxing walking trails and also only 10 min drive from the main town of Carlisle.

Great location, cosy place, we were in Vallum, nice and clean, the owners are just normal nice people. Near Carlisle airport so dead easy to find. 10 minutes from the M6, 10 minutes from the lake district. On Hadrians Wall so a real sense of History, the very edge of the Roman Empire, but near a M&S food hall. We even had a day in Blackpool.

Excellent accommodation beautiful scenery and plenty to do if you are active if not then just enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful surroundings

Fantastic accommodation...very clean and decorated to a very high standard. We felt relaxed as soon as we entered the apartment. ..it had such a homely feel to it and the bottle of wine for grown-ups and chocolate treat for the kids was a very nice touch with it being Easter....it was surrounded by beautiful fields and countryside with lots of walks that you could access straight out of the building. The nearby garden centre called Houghton Hall is well worth a visit...cafe good and lots to look at and a fantastic range of specialty foods to buy. The owners of Bleatarn were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble....they have thought of everything that you might need to have an enjoyable and stress free holiday. ..would highly recommend and we will be returning hopefully very soon for a longer stay

The beds are amazingly comfy. when you sleep you can't get woken up from animals because the walls are so thick and the kitchen is so modern and you can wake up and open your window and have a fresh smell of the country side so i would really recommend people to come here thank you bleatarn park
